4.21 Driveways

ARB approval is not required in order to make repairs or re-seal a driveway provided that the homeowner maintains the same size and materials as the existing driveway. ARB approval is necessary before changing a driveway’s materials.

Driveways must be hard-surfaced and constructed of rolled asphalt or brushed concrete. Driveways must be maintained so as to be free of cracks or other structural damage.

a. Driveways must be installed in accordance with current code (licensed contractor with a class A, B or C license for a residential driveway)

b. Stamped concrete is prohibited for driveway surfaces

c. Concrete pavers are prohibited for driveway surfaces

d. Widening of driveways is not permitted
